Many computer systems - especially older ones - store data in their own, secret, proprietary formats.

Often used because there was no standard format available back when the computer system was designed, the proprietary formats also served to lock customers into the system.

Igris uses a range of data analysis and conversion tools - and many years experience - to find the data and extract it into open formats that can be imported into new systems.

Sometimes this will be a one-off task where we provide a conversion service. On other occasions, we may provide a conversion program for applications that are not being replaced but require an additional data export facility.

For historical data that is only needed for reference purposes, we can design a PC based database system to store, index and display the data, so that the old system can be turned off.
